No Post On Sundays: Tiger's Destiny, The Raven Boys, Magisterium

Welcome to my brand new segment, tentatively titled "No Post on Sunday" which is supposed to be ironic because mail doesn't come on Sundays. Anyway in this segment I'm going to introduce 3 books that I've received either in the physical mail or in my email via NetGalley. Also, this will be every Sunday until I run out of sets of 3 ARCs, then it will only happen when I have at least 3 ARCs. Note: *Giveaway* means I will be hosting a giveaway for my copy of the ARC. So let's get started:

1. Tiger's Destiny by Colleen Houck

Release Date: September 4, 2012
Publisher: Splinter a Sterling Publishing Imprint
Page Count: 400 pages
Review Date: August 4, 2012
*Giveaway*

"With three of the goddess Durga's quests behind them, only one prophecy now stands in the way of Kelsey, Ren, and Kishan breaking the tiger's curse. But the trio's greatest challenge awaits them: A life-endangering pursuit in search of Durga's final gift, the Rope of Fire, on the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal. It's a race against time--and the evil sorcerer Lokesh--in this eagerly anticipated fourth volume in the bestselling "Tiger's Curse" series, which pits good against evil, tests the bonds of love and loyalty, and finally reveals the tigers' true destinies once and for all. "

2. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

Release Date: September 18, 2012
Publisher: Scholastic Press
Page Count: 408 pages
Review Date: August 18, 2012

"It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.

His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore."

3. Magisterium by Jeff Hirsch

Release Date: October 1, 2012
Publisher: Scholastic Press

Review Date: September 1, 2012

"On one side of the Rift is a technological paradise without famine or want. On the other side is a mystery.

Sixteen-year-old Glenn Morgan has lived next to the Rift her entire life and has no idea of what might be on the other side of it. Glenn's only friend, Kevin, insists the fence holds back a world of monsters and witchcraft, but magic isn't for Glenn. She has enough problems with reality: Glenn's mother disappeared when she was six, and soon after, she lost her scientist father to his all-consuming work on the mysterious Project. Glenn buries herself in her studies and dreams about the day she can escape. But when her father's work leads to his arrest, he gives Glenn a simple metal bracelet that will send Glenn and Kevin on the run---with only one place to go."
